Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is a disorder characterized by extreme fatigue that cannot be explained by any underlying medical condition. Symptoms of CFS include persistent exhaustion, muscle pain, headaches, difficulty concentrating and sleeping problems. Treatment for CFS typically involves lifestyle changes such as getting enough rest and exercise, managing stress levels and eating a healthy diet. In some cases medications may also be prescribed to help manage symptoms.
